Freetown Town Crier for June 27, 608

Summary of Events

According to local reports, on the grand opening of Freetown when the wands were first displayed Denezaro Kris'alis was kidnapped by a pair of Rub'eus. A party of adventurers managed to discover this but couldn't save him that day as they had found themselves dealing with a Kolbold and Gnoll attack.

Events as told by Crie Kris'alis Snillor

Ever sense the Will o' Whisp tavern burnt down, we had been looking for a new bar. While out, I found myself in the company of some old friends. Kario Em'raldus, Alex Row, Isabella Turkv'os, Arrakk Di'mondus, and Micheal the Good. Finding them, and knowing them all to be traveling, I invited them to my home, The Snillor House. After we all settled we went to the bar, only to find Denezaro Kris'alis and two Rub'eus in the new tavern which yet has had a name. Drinking my specially made hooch, created by Kario, I found myself a bit confused as the secound Rub'eus could not speak common, or even gypsy. This worried me, as he started saying things that only made us worry for our safety around him.

After some drinking, and discussion, Denezaro Kris'alis offered to take us to see the wands in the Sorcerers Guild. We fallowed him and he allowed us in one at a time through an identification circle. We admired the amazing wands, and staff, and the growling Rub'eus frightened us with how he just grabbed the wands carelessly... Looking them over. Many questions were asked, and admired, but after a short time we returned to the bar for more hooch and fun.

What we had discovered, of major importance was the Turkv'os wand was the only one without the name of the son, and that the staff of Dalanto had a pink gem of some kind... Anyways, after a short time at the bar the wiser more in control Rub'eus walked out with Denezaro Kris'alis. We started to discuss this and Kario was next to first to discover there was a problem. We all agreed, that the growling one was messed up and in moments we moved outside to find the two who had left. Only to have the Rub'eus attack us. As soon as he did, we pinned him. After trying to talk to him, we found Freetown was being attacked by a mass of Kolbold and Gnoll. They came in, in hunger wanting to eat Gypsy. So as we struggled to find Denezaro Kris'alis we had to fight army after army of Kolbold and Gnoll.

After we fought them off and had ot kill the Rub'eus we checked to make sure the wands and staff were in place and ran in the direction all the creatures had come from. We assumed the Kolbolds were sent by the Rub'eus because a single one said they were, but after much conversation with a Gnoll and having to explain color of gems of the gypsy to help get directions (apparently they are color blind)). We moved on, finding more and more coming at us. Even asking them where their cheiften was and having them point in various random directions as well as when we asked were they came from. At least they speak with us before we killed them.

We traveled down the road only to find ourselves once more at the Will o' Whisp tavern. Or at least the ashes of it. There we discovered that the very creatures who had been attacking us so far were trying to get into the dungeon deep below that we discovered with the Events of April 23rd 608. They couldn't get in without a key, but when they saw us we started to do battle. After they were all dead, we found the door would not open and no one had a key. We continued to try to find a way in, thinking that was were Denezaro Kris'alis was. As the creatures had spoken of large beasts inside that could kill the town.

As we continued to try to break in, Kario and Arrakk went back to town to see if they could find anything of use while we sat and thought on how to get in the dungeon. Then we saw it. First glowing lights in the distance, then as they approached and we hid to look on we realized Will o' whisps were coming at us. Unsure of what to do I charged and swung my Mace only to discover it did nothing. Then one cast charm and I was charmed, moving after Cario and Arrakk who fallowed them quickly to warn us. After much confusion, and an attempt to see if they would stay on other side of bridge we made it to the bar feeling we could defend ourselves within.

After a while the Will o' Whisps were gone, and another man arrived. I do not remember who but it became obvious that, they were gone... It being to late, and us unable to do a thing, the group choose to retire to bed and I myself, eventually fallowed in reluctence.
